Ad-Amplify launch opens up targeted route for press release content

London, October 13, 2022: PR and communications professionals in the UK can now reach audiences on leading news websites using ad-driven press release distribution launched by PA Media and iCrowdNewswire.

The new Ad-Amplify service will allow communications teams to harness the value of ad networks to promote their releases to their target audiences and sectors.

The service will extend PA Media’s Mediapoint platform, which enables customers to monitor the news agenda and distribute press releases on the national newswire used by thousands of journalists.

It is built using an innovative solution developed by US-based iCrowdNewswire to offer a highly targeted paid media service with access to millions of websites.

Overall, the Ad-Amplify service will offer press release issuers a choice from 11 million websites worldwide, including more than 700,000 in the UK and 3 million in the US. The service will also provide Facebook and LinkedIn ad targeting and analytics reporting.

A campaign will have a guaranteed 50,000 impressions across the selected sites, with customised ad creative designed by the iCrowdNewswire team or provided by the client.

Alan Marshall, Managing Director of Business Information Services at PA Media, said: “Ad-Amplify enables customers to complement the reach of distributing press releases on the PA newswire by putting their release directly in front of their target audiences, whether that’s mainstream media or in niche segments. This innovative service elevates the impact and value of a release and is the first in a series of enhancements we’re making to Mediapoint over the coming months.”

Hector Botero, President and CEO of iCrowdNewswire, said: “Guaranteed website posting revolutionized the press release newswire industry well over a decade ago and the Google technology-driven distribution we have deployed takes it to another level creating targeting and reporting efficiencies not available before. The ad targeting combined with voice and translations distribution is by far the most efficient return on investment delivering audiences for issuers.”
